BIO

Born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia, Goretti Itoka is a graduate of Cathedral Catholic High School and is currently enrolled at Stella Maris Polytechnic where she studies Agriculture.

At the age of 7, she became a child broadcaster for Sky 107.1FM where her mother, a journalist and presenter Laurina Honore worked at the time. At the same age she started to play basketball at the YMCA in Monrovia.

She wrote her first Newspaper Article called “Campus Life”  for the New Republic Newspaper at the age of 15, became an intern at Sky fm and started her own Tv show called “School Life” on Light Tv that same year and by the 6th grade, her acting and dance gigs started rolling in, with roles in various Liberian films and shows with Jafa, All Stars and Dream Team (Liberia’s national dance team).

This all naturally progressed to her pageantry and modeling, by 2015 she was gracing various runways including that of Monrovia Fashion week, BMA fashion shows and showcasing different Liberian designer’s clothes.

She then took that runway walk to the Miss Liberia beauty pageant as Miss Maryland County; she was crowned Miss Liberia Runner up in December 2016.

Though she did not win the crown, she felt encouraged to better her community by volunteering to work with The Cummings Africa Foundation team to donate hospital supplies in the south eastern region of Liberia and eventually created her very own non-profit organization called “The Goretti Latife Itoka(GLI) Foundation.”

Continuing her modeling career, Goretti got to walk in the 2018 Mercedes Benz Fashion show in Accra, Ghana and later that year appeared in the Blue Oceans fashion show to raise awareness on keeping the Ocean clean in Liberia.

In April 2019, Miss Goretti represented her nation, The Republic of Liberia in the Republic of Sierra Leone for the Miss Mano River Union International beauty pageant.

She was crowned Miss Mano River Union 2019 with the platform of "Empowering women in Agriculture for the eradication of poverty". She's also been involved into a lot of humanitarian works like touring hospitals to donate toiletries and Women empowerment in Agriculture along with advocating for peace in the Mano River Union (MRU) nations and raising awareness on violence against Children.

Goretti owns an Agriculture Business called “AgroRetti” that will be launching in September 2021 and her first products will be her special healthy snacks, Cassava, Eddo and sweet potato chips followed by a lot more including vegetables and fruits. One of AgroRetti’s goals is to bring you quality, fresh and healthy food packaged to make things easier for you.

This is a company that focuses on promoting local farmers, empowering women and making sure everything is produced right here in Liberia. Our sole purpose is to aid in the reduction of food importation in Liberia.

Goretti is the former brand Ambassador for Bravo Mineral water, she’s currently modeling for Ade Holistic natural Skin care products and is one of the billboard faces of Club Beer, the biggest beverage factory in Liberia.
